Our story
The long stretches of road seemed endless, but the excitement built with every mile. I’d stare out the window, watching the scenery change from city streets to sprawling fields, and eventually, dense forests of evergreen trees. The air felt different up north—crisp and fresh—and there was a certain magic in the quiet, far away from the hustle of everyday life.
When we finally reached our destination, it felt like entering a whole new world, one where time slowed down and the days were filled with exploration while Grandma was in her kitchen making her famous caramel rolls and Grandpa tinkering around in the garage making bird houses. I’m forever thankful for those moments—those simple drives, the laughter in the car, the shared memories that make up a childhood. Cheers to Mort and Helen, the kind of people who make life a little brighter and the world a little warmer. Their kindness, wisdom, and laughter are the things that stay with us, even as time passes. The memories they’ve created, the love they’ve shared, and the legacy they leave behind.
